P&C Meetings
The P&C has a monthly meeting on the third Tuesday of each month during term time.
Meetings kick off at 6pm and are held in the Algester State School Staff Room (admin block), or when notified, in the AMAC next to the Library. Everyone is welcome and this is your chance to hear about activities and events planned for the coming year.
Parents and Citizens can attend the meetings and if you like, can also join for the year - becoming a member allows you to vote on various motions put forward to direct the progress of our team. You don't have to be a member to attend, but if you'd like to join the P&C and have access to voting rights and minutes of the meetings, please submit your 2024 Membership application here.

Drakes Community Dollars
Thank you to everyone who continues to choose the Algester State School P&C Association as the recipient of their Drakes Supermarket Community Dollars.
For doing no more than scanning the Drakes app (or keytag) when you do your groceries, Drakes will donate 1c for every $1 spent.
As of December 2023, the record from the previous year was well and truly smashed and we more than doubled the donation from last year!
We use these dollars to help fund things like the Principal's Afternoon Tea - which is a special honour for students to attend, and to supplement tuckshop stock purchases and supplies for various events - which helps keep overall costs down

Our beautiful new mural
Over the school break artist, Jenny Kent from Manamana Dreaming, created a wonderful reconciliation mural. Students and community members contributed by adding fingerprints to the mural and each afternoon small crowds gather to admire the newest colourful addition to our school environment
This video from the artist explains the meaning of the mural's details
